The 2018 Kyantulese legislative elections were held on April 22th, 2018 (first round) and October 23th, 2018 (second round) with the intent of elect the [??] senators and the [??] deputies that will form the 142nd Legislature of the Kingdom of Kyantuly under monitoring of the Election Commission, a subordinate agency of the Kyantulese Parliament. By tradition, the front runners for the legislative elections are also the leaders of their respective parties and, in case of winning, can serve as Prime Minister for two consecutive terms as stipulated by the Kyantulese Constitution.

Following the election, the party with most seats in both Houses is able to form a Government and nominate the Chairman of Kularna and the Chamber of Deputies for the next Legislature pending a motion of confidence in case of having a stable majority, although the formation of a post-election coalition by either the first or second placed party or a select number of abstentions from members of opposition parties can help to validate it in case of having an unstable majority, with the leader of the party being nominated Prime Minister by the King/Queen following the approval.

The incumbent ruling Kyantulese Social Party, led by incumbent Prime Minister Chông Ata Wa , ended up winning the election with an absolute majority in both Houses, although those elections were marked by controversies related to media coverage and accusations of bribing and cheating that resulted in the background of Kwiteu Revolution in July, being able to form a Government without the need of a coalition, with Chông being reelected for a second and last term as Prime Minister. However, Chông opted to not run again in second round following large protests against the controversial proposed reform of the [??]) after he resigned, The Kularna deciding to do legislative election once again in October.
