HT2 is the second television channel of Herkatio Radio kaj Televido, the Herkatian public broadcasting corporation also the second channel in Herkatia. Commonly referred as the Dua Kanalo/Dua Programo (English: Second Channel/Second Programe) or simply La Du (English: The Two). The channel was first established as an experimental UHF TV channel on channel 39 in the October 25, 1965, before being officially launched on March 14, 1968 as HT Dua Programo. Nowadays, HT2 is a public service, advertising-free channel that serves as an alternative to the mainstream channel of HRT, HT1. Similar to channels such as other Eurtanian television channels, HT2 aims at less mainstream and more intellectual content.

1965-1968[]
During the mid-60s, the channel had sporadic experimental broadcasts, mainly consisting of HT's and other such as movies and dramas programming. However, on some occasions, it broadcasted events and other content that were not part of HT's programming.
HT Dua Programo[]
1968-1970[]
HT UHF Programo was officially launched in March 14, 1968 as HT Dua Programo, becoming the HT's secondary channel. It began by re-airing some of HT's programs with a time delay, while also introducing its own original programming.

1975-1987[]
1987-1992[]
A new logo of HT2 was introduced on 1987 along with HT1 rebranding. It was created by the [Atlanta]-based motion branding agency Television by Design.
1992-1998[]
On February 7th, 1992, HT2 rebranded with the new logo consists a pink box with number 2 in left but keeping the old graphic packages until 1994 when the new graphic packages was done by Gédéon. The new idents also the break bumpers for HT2 featured a picture-in-picture. These idents were obviously popular, as HT2 decided to keep and add to them for most of the remaining decade.
