KRT1 is the main or flagship television channel of the Kumaloit Radio Kaj Televidilo, a Herkatian public broadcaster company. It was launched on December 2nd, 1949 as the Kumaloit Telekanalo, a year after North & South was divided. It become the main television channel in North Herkatia and competitors with ESK from South Herkatia. Although the second channel was launched in 1951, two years after launched, KT keeping its name until 1953, whereupon it was renamed to KT Unua Programmo. later in 1962, it renaming again to KRT Unua Programmo, following the merging of KT & KPR, and the current name was adopted in 1970.
KRT1 is the one of the largest-Esperanto speaking public broadcasters in the worldwide and one of the largest public broadcasters in Eurtania. It's programs is available on worldwide through KRT Herkatia and KRT World, but the programs are broadcast in English. KRT1 has many kinds of programs, mainly news with it's newscast, Teleĵurnalo, sports, current affairs, talk-shows, national and international fictions like films, TV serials, dramas, etc. KRT1 broadcast in 24/7 basis and Unlike it's sister channel, KRT2, KRT1 is broadcast commercials along with the governments PSA. Its main competitors are the commercial broadcasters like Teleanteno, Kanalo 3 and Retokvin.

KRT 1 (first era)
to coinciding KRT services' rebrand in September 29, 1975. KRT1 officially rebranded on October 1, 1975. This KRT1 rebrand along with KRT2 is designed by Mateŭ de Kalvatoj. At the start and end of KRT1's broadcast day, there was an animation showing the sky with the many number 1 that surrounding the sky. At the end of the animation, one of the number 1 becoming larger and the number 1 was divided into a two, the background was changed to blue, after that form a 3D effect. The animation was created by Ĵon de la Kolumaj, that he inspired the CT2 from Trouaine ident that launched on January in the same year, and was accompanied by a orchestra melody. The orchestra melody was written by Miŝel Armando and the orchestra is called Red Moon. The animations was used by KRT1 from its founding in October 1975 to December 1981.
Another new ident was introduced in December 29, 1981 to replacing the 1975 and 1981 Chrismas ident. This ident was redesigned by [Pacific] Data Images.
1994-1996 (used in idents)
On October 1st, 2020, coinciding with the redesign of its headquarters, the KRT announced a new logo to all its services, including KRT 1. As a result, KRT 1 changed the logo but keeping the 2016 ident with a new logo and the new typefont.
